Changelog 1.1
-vertex normals on elevators and rudders edited for a better ingame reflection
-textures of the left engine edited since some parts appeared green instead of metal
-removed leftover entries from handling.meta
Here is a famous workhorse of the Allied Forces during World War II. Used to transport cargo and troops, the C-47 gained widespread recognition. Its civilian counterparts, the DC3, is probably also well known.
This mod brings the C-47 as "Skytrain", aka the US version. It features a single livery (albeit it is multi-livery compatible), but has tuning options to display 8 different unit markings and serial numbers.
In addition to pilot and co-pilot, 10 people can sit in the back. Please note that they do not have an entry animation but warp inside (and out).
The doors can be opened and you can climb and walk inside.
Apart from that it features all standard stuff like lights, landing gear, control surfaces, etc...
Installation
1. Place the "c47" folder into [Gamefolder]\update\X64\dlcpacks\
2. With OpenIV, extract [Game folder]\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml and edit this with Notepad++. Add the following entry:
dlcpacks:\c47\
3. Now you are done, you will need a trainer with "spawn by name" function (Enhanced Native Trainer for example) to spawn the vehicle type in:
"c47"

This is amazing, almost as good as the Blackhawk Mega Pack, you are good at the WW2 stuff, maybe this more often? I'd love to see like vietnam hueys and cobras and stuff.
game crashes when i spawn the plane
@AbuAlshanti Same thing for me, the new MiG 21 loads without issue, but the C47 crashes it
@AbuAlshanti Me too
game crashes when i spawn the plane
It doesnt spawn the model and then CTD
@Gillman @Edbarcelos @rodolfo_luna94 as stupid as it sounds, is your PC on the lower spec side? Because I am not sure what should cause this unless your PC is on the weaker side. Seeing as the model file is very heavy and uses lots of textures it might ne a reason, but... hm.
Since it doesn't use custom weapon my only other guess would be the vehiclelayout, but then I'd wonder why it works for others.
@SkylineGTRFreak Sure It might be that on most cases but my PC has a 3080 ti, intel 12th i9 so if you didnt had any problem I will do some mod conflict.
@SkylineGTRFreak Still CTD without any mods.
@rodolfo_luna94 and it crashes when you spawn it? Do you see it for a brief second or just straight CTD as soon as you want to spawn it?
@SkylineGTRFreak No, its a straight CTD without never seing the model
@rodolfo_luna94 Same.
@SkylineGTRFreak Got the same problem even with custom gameconfig and high end PC
@Ghost_Rider_207 @rodolfo_luna94 @AUSSIE_LAD_96
I don't know what causes the problem to be honest, but it had some leftover stuff from my B29 mod in the handling.meta which actually shouldn't have mattered at all. I removed it, can you try again if it works now? Otherwise I really have no clue why it works for some and not for others.
@SkylineGTRFreak Still CTD, ill check out on my end what can I find.
@rodolfo_luna94 i think because it has a very high quality textures, similar thing happens with the su-47 mod from Skylinegtrfreak, in which the su plane refuses to spawn even it has all the internal files in the mod named correctly but it was a high quality texture
@AbuAlshanti Maybe, I have a mid end and haven't had a single problem with any of his mods until this released, may just be a pc issue, idk.
Could you make a new "Beast" limousine?
If your game is crashing or not launching after installing this, I have found the solution and only @SkylineGTRFreak can fix it. It seems GTA V is having issues loading the model itself. I tried downscaling textures and replacing the Mogul with this but the game just kept crashing on loading. I determined that this mod is using a C47 model with a high poly count which is what's causing people's games to crash or not load. Gonna have to reduce the polycount or update this with a low poly count model.
