@Vans123 - Honestly lost mate, I've more than tripple checked and I can't see where I'm going wrong. I've uploaded photos so you can see the folder structure and also the two files you mentioned.

@Vans123 - Thanks for the reply, I've tried everything and after having a look at the files I can see there's a few cars you've included, I thought it was just the veneo. But anyhow none of those cars will spawn so there's something wrong with the install, I noticed you have a setup file, is this supposed to be run online so it detects this DLC and installs everything? I always disable wifi just before I launch to make sure it doesn't detect changes? Other than that I can't work out why it doesn't work because all the other add ons are workin and I get no errors.
@thamoc5 - Ohhhh sorry, I thought it was after using this mod. It's not always helpful but if you type "event logs" and open that you can then drop down "windows logs" then click "Application" You will see a red icon with "error" if you double click that it will very likely be information generated about the GTA Crash. In that window scroll down a little until you see "Faulting Module Path" hopefully the last bit won't say "GTA V.exe" but hopefully say the file that's actually causing the crash like for me it said:
"Faulting module path: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\clr.dll"
So rather than just a crash I can see now that specifically it clr.dll that causes it.
Other than that I'm not sure what to suggest, if you have a legitimate copy you can force a verify on the directory and if anything is messed up it will download the files again, link for that:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7po3u8oKpM
or this one is for non steam: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbHwEl2SAfc
ideally you want to trace down specifically what's causing the crash but as far as I'm aware "event logs" is about all I can think to help, and even then it may just say the faulting module is "GTA V.exe" which of course doesn't help lol. Let me know how you get on!
@Im punch @danibom Read my previous comment ^^^^, that fixed my crash issue.
@MarshallareN @thamoc5
I've just fixed the crashing issue when using the Add-On method. The crash is caused by GTA limiting the number of DLC packs so chances are, like me, you exceeded it (I had VansMods DLC)
Anyway credit goes to @tk0wnz and his readme adds the workaround:
Open gameconfig.xml in folder .\update\update.rpf\common\data\ and change these numbers:
<PoolName>Vehicles</PoolName>
<PoolSize value="900"/>
<PoolName>VehicleStreamRequest</PoolName>
<PoolSize value="150"/>
<PoolName>VehicleStreamRender</PoolName>
<PoolSize value="140"/>
<PoolName>HandlingData</PoolName>
<PoolSize value="800"/>
<PedsForVehicles_Base value="130"/>
<PedsForVehicles value="130"/>
<VehicleMemoryMultiplier value="800"/>
<VehicleUpperLimit value="200"/>
<MaxVehicleModelInfos value="900"/>
<MaxExtraVehicleModelInfos value="450"/>
Any idea why your Add On method causes the game to crash at the start? I've compared the installation to vansmods method and all is in the right place and modified the right file.. but like a few others have stated the game crashes on the first splash screen. Windows event Logs doesn't output anything meaningful to help. For now I'm overwriting X64 and Update folder from a backup I did until hopefully there's a fix.
Hi, for your Veneno Add On download, what's the name of the car? Your ReadMe for the only gives this example: "2015 Ferrari LaFerrari --------> Type this name: laferrari15"
Hello, I've come across a problem with installing multiple cars on the same RPF. Say if I install a lamborghini at update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday3ng/dlc.rpf but then I have a ferrari which also needs to be placed at update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday3ng/dlc.rpf the software for obvious reasons cannot point to both cars with the same RPF. So did you know about this and design a way to mod multiple cars on the same RPF?
the only thing I can think of for now is when modifying the police lamborghini at update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday3ng/dlc.rpf I'd actually name the mod "update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday3ng/dlc.rpf" so that if I need to mod a car at that same location I can browse to "RPF" and instead of the name of the car I'll know I modded "update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday3ng/dlc.rpf" and I'll have to open up this RPF and insert my second car. the problem is of course I'll have one mod in mod manager called "update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday3ng/dlc.rpf" and how no way to remember what mods I actually made.
I've probably confused the life out of what I tried to explain because of the way I've wrote it, but if you try to add a car that uses the same RPF you'll understand the dilema.
Lovely car, really liked the way you put the infotainment system on the dash. Not sure if it's possible, but could you illuminate the speedo for night time?
@Bilago Thank you for your reply, but won't modifying those files in OpenIV make me get get banned online?
