Description
This is a script that will patch the recording restrictions in cutscenes. You will need Unknown's No Rockstar Editor Restrictions to be able to edit them as they will be flagged as blocked in the editor.
TLDR: You can record cutscenes with this script.
Update 04/2024:
The original patch has been rewritten as a standalone asi, all you need is an asi loader and drop it in your root folder.

Good news for the cutscene recorder fans, someone brought it to my attention this mod still existed and I have recreated the patch as a proper asi now. It should work without problems like before again. Happy recording!

@alexcoleridge yes, just dont do it in openiv, as it wont overwrite the original files for some reason

I'll assume this mod is outdated hence why it doesn't seem to work. Quite a disadvantage with modding. I really need something like this.
This mod doesn't have compatibility issues in between b2802 and b2944. You can find memory patterns used in this mod in those versions (use ILSpy or some similar tool to extract). No Rockstar Editor Restrictions is to blame in the compatibility issues.
Installed this and Unknown's No Rockstar Editor Restrictions, I’m able to record cutscene but can’t edit them still? Any ideas?
Works for me as of 2024 on the criminal enterprises update, but it has the limitation of character facial animations not working fully as only the mouth and eyes are able to move, but i think that's a game limitation.
Wish we could start recording during cutscenes, it would've helped a ton. Same with working facial animations for other characters in the rockstar editor.
Shame the mod is abandoned.

Can you don't make it cuts off recording when swapping the another character in missions?This problem always make it can't record a complete clip.

when i press f1 still no option to record
Getting errors EVERY time I launch due to the Unknown Recorder no restrictions mod being SEVERELY outdated and causing an error message and the game to crash every time.
This works fine, however it doesn't work in specific cutscenes seemingly and during some gameplay elements. It's broken completely when trying to record either By The Book(only the torture scenes + gameplay) and it's also f--d for the opening cutscene. I tried using the replay mission feature to record it since I couldn't find it among the cutscene files by itself, and I started the recording before that. I tried the same with By The Book, but with that I didn't have to start recording before the mission even loaded, since it had some gameplay before I'd get to the scenes I actually needed, however it stops recording instantly as soon as you get to the torture scenes or the cutscene before
