This weapon weighing between 700 and 1,200 grams is considered to be of Samnite origin and the Etruscans used it. It was normally composed of a flexible quadrangular iron one meter long,
the hollow part of which received a wooden handle also quadrangular, about 1.50 meters engaged in the iron firmly fixed by two iron pegs. This fixing was then replaced by an iron peg and another wooden one, innovation attributed to Marius upon impact in a shield, the latter broke,
freeing the pole which then hung down to the ground. The legionnaire, could then set foot on the pole, to force his enemy to uncover, by lowering his shield. If the pilum did not reach its goal, it still broke, preventing the enemies of the Romans from picking it up on the ground to send it back to them.
Please note that the mod does not contain the map of Rome and the shield!

Obviously this is a nice weapon mod, but I am honestly very confused and amazed by thos Ancient Roman city in the screenshots... Who made that city, where did you find that? Or did you make it yourself? It seems like a giant well made map from what I can see in those screenshots, of course it needs some work on shaders and textures but it is very very impressive! I can't find any information on the internet on this map mod?
