@xcaps You can load it however you want. The crash is probably caused by an incompatible ScriptHookV / ScriptHookVDotNet script. You can either try to find the faulty script with a trial and error process, or simply use ScriptHookV instead of AsiSupport (since it's currently available afaik)
@gorgonut Thanks ! By default, the AsiSupport plugins loads all available ASI mods on startup. The only way to achieve what you want would be to disable this behavior (in the plugin's config), and to manually load the desired ASI mods using the LoadAsiPlugin command.
This process can be automated by putting the LoadAsiPlugin commands in the Startup.rphs file, right after the "LoadPlugin AsiSupport.dll"
@Ilikedonuts You can try to send me your log file next time you get a fatal error :)
@cargames275 I like to think it's pretty intuitive. Basically, each profile is a set of mods, and you can switch between different profiles. When switching profiles, the launcher moves mods to an external directory.
@fingersplinter Yeah if you modified the vanilla base, the launcher will be of no use. However it cannot detect the files have been altered, so it shouldn't crash because you modified the base files.
@miketheratguy Yeah no hard feelings don't worry, I'm just trying to understand how you were misled to try and prevent others from making the same mistake :). I think making the warning part longer will do the trick
@miketheratguy I thought the "Choosing "No" will delete them" part was enough :p. You want me to add the word "permanently" ?
@Iniyan There's probably a faulty mod in your profile. Try to launch the vanilla profile, and see if it works. If it doesn't, your best bet is to repair your game via the rockstar games launcher (with an integrity verification)
@miketheratguy I'm happy to hear your problem is resolved.
The message you were talking about, was it "Mods have been detected on your vanilla profile. Do you want to create a modded profile with these mods ? (Choosing "No" will delete them)" ?
If so, indeed, that's one of the ways the launcher can be led to delete mods (the only other way is, obviously, to delete a profile with mods inside)
@fingersplinter Does it work when you launch the launcher as admin?
