Dev Update: The next update (model position adjuster and gun duplicate bugfix) is halfway done. In-game UI has been done, sadly new game update is here so i'll postpone development till ScriptHookV comes back. My focus with jedi's mods revival has been to deliver it to the latest game version, so i won't proceed unless i'm sure i can work it on the latest one.
I remember some mods already did this kinda thing (e.g Pickups, 7 Visible Weapons on Player, Stow That Weapon).
I'm aiming for simplicity, plug-n-play no hassle compared to other mods with the same idea.
If you play with custom weapons or custom peds, I'm sorry for the clipping issues.
Keep your expectations low, I'm busy irl at the moment so consider this mod lazily-made

With 1.1 (Weapon on Front and Hip update) it doesn't sound right to call it "Weapons On Back" but for the sake of crediting jedijosh, I'll keep that name since small part of the code and the idea still comes from him
Features:
- Just simple update so no crashes etc on the new ScriptHookVDotNet
- Weapon attachments and tint now shown correctly
- Added small equip animation, grabbing the weapon on the back
- Now you have 2 modes by entering either "WOB1" or "WOB2" through cheat console (read carefully below)
- WOB1 (Default): two-handed/big guns on back, small guns on right-hip, knifes on left-hip
- WOB2: two-handed guns on front, small guns on right-hip, knifes on left-hip, big guns on back
- When you want to hide the guns, use "WOB0" on cheat. Use WOB1/WOB2 to activate again
- Switching WOB1 to WOB2 and vice versa requires you to type "WOB0" first
Requirement:
ScriptHookVDotNet 3.6.0, Just use the latest Nightly Version
This script was made on game version 3274, other versions are untested.
How to Install:
Put WeaponsOnBack.dll into the "/scripts" folder, the usual for script mods, located in gta main folder.
If you have Errors or Crashes, DM me. I'll only answer to errors or crashes report
Bugs:
Model clipping and sometimes when you equip, the same weapon attached to your body is also the same as the gun you held, if you apply real-life logic it's like you have 2 same guns.
Bugs listed above will be the focus of the next update. Feature requests won't be responded for now.

@V3ST3R19 Nope, it is possible to do it to all NPC but i'm busy irl so it's not in my mind right now

I also notice the weapons from newer dlcs from 2016 haven't been identified by this mod, so i will release it with the hips/front weapons update

@mbahdokek No, it's more realistic to have long weapons that in the front. You should look up some images on combat ready set up and how they normally position long guns. For pistols and knifes, you're right those are normally on hips/legs though, but that's not really what I was talking about.
Excited to see what you do with this though!! Stow that Weapon uses Rage Hook plugin, which it gets clunky and often crashes. If this mod takes over, you have the potential to reach a large part of the LSPDfr community

just checking if it's working right for me or bugged - when I equip the weapon that's currently on my back, the weapon appears both in my hands and on my back. Is that supposed to happen?

What if when you switched between a rifle, to a pistol it would do the RDR2/Max Payne 3 animation where the character carried the rifle on one hand and the pistol in the other.

For all visitors, the next update will be focused on adding .ini for position adjustment, and fixing bug where the gun still on back even when you equip that gun. ETA - idk probably 1-2 month since I'm busy again with job searching

Got free time today! I'm gonna use LemonUI for the next update for the gun placement adjustment to be accessible inside the game, im positive in less than a month i will deliver the update.

GTA V is updated to 3323.0, if you still want to use mods, please consider to revert back to older version. Got confirmation that the update included BattleEye anti-cheat that will pose difficulty on ScriptHookV. I won't respond to any errors that correlates with user mistake on using mods on the new version of the game.
